FAQs
Average orders waiting period from delivery of trophies to completion of crate packing and release of the crate from our premises to the shipping company is roughly 8 -10 months, depending on the complexity of the clients order (like custom full mounts or large animals eg. Elephant, Giraffe etc.), may extend this time frame. Deposit payments, communication with the client and correct paperwork can also contribute time frames being extended.
Please request prices from our office as taxidermy costs all depend on what the order is going to consist of, and shipping costs will all depend on the eventual size of the crate, so we will need a complete list of the trophies to be shot, and what is to be done on them, and an address of destination.

It all depends on what is to be shot. Common “pest” or problems animals like:

  • Baboon, Vervet monkey or even Python – YES you do need one.
  • Any cat species (also Civet) – YES you do need one.
  • Birds of prey – YES you do need one.
  • All Cites and Tops species require hunting permit / and or other permit.
  • Birds for export need hunting license and / or permit.
  • Your outfitter should know which species require these permits
Your crate is pack by us (the Taxidermist), for which you will be charged as part of your taxidermy bill along with the costs of your export paperwork. The shipping company comes and collects the crate from us, we use independent shipping companies. Once they have collected your crate, they book it into their warehouses, weigh it, measure it and check that all the necessary documentation is correct and on hand. Once they are happy, they then contact the client with an introductory letter and pro-forma invoice. You as the client can then communicate with them directly regarding your shipment and you then decide how you want it sent (air or sea). They bill you and you pay them directly.
